An education centre designed by IB students, for IB students.

Our Students at PRAXIS Education Centre

Our Vision

PRAXIS is a tutoring centre that specialises in the Humanities subjects, EE, TOK and IA for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

We started PRAXIS to solve real problems: packed classrooms with little to no private attention, insufficient personalised feedback and sparse notes tailored to each school’s curriculum.

That’s why we have:

This is the PRAXIS difference.

English A: Language & Literature

Scoring for IB Langlit involves way more than reading the primary texts, memorising sample essays and blindly applying language/literary techniques. Our IB Langlit Programme trains students to acutely identify key themes in the unseen P1 texts and their chosen P2 literary texts, structure their essays in accordance with the demands of the IB Langlit curriculum and improve their mastery of the English language to write effectively.

1

Content

Each class starts with a detailed run-through of content for the Individual Oral, Paper 1 or Paper 2.

Every student is provided with our House Notes that includes essay structures, marking points and sample essays.

2

Feedback Session

We operate using a '4 day feedback system': students submit an essay (set as homework) 3 days after their class, and our tutors mark the essay in 4 days before the next class.

Tutors spend a substantial amount of time explaining their feedback.

3

Extra 1-to-1 Consults

Private students and group class students can contact their tutors for private consultations outside of class time.

IA / EE Consultations

The IAs and EEs are unique to you – requiring a unique approach. Our IA / EE consultations are ad-hoc and 1-to-1: it’s according to your chosen topic, your schedule and your timelines.

1

Getting Started

You submit your existing draft to us 1 week before the 1st class. If you’ve no draft, we’ll start the brainstorming process with you.

2

Pre-Consult

We give detailed feedback on your draft before your 1st class.
This ensures that our tutors clear the simple mistakes out of the way, leaving the precious consultation minutes for the tougher questions.

3

First Class

Your tutor explains their feedback, suggests ideas and teaches content.

4

Post-Class

You edit the draft according to in-class feedback.

5

The Polishing Process

And the cycle repeats! Our tutors give feedback, you guys discuss … til’ greatness.

6

Final Tweaks & Submission

A final review of your completed work against the IB assessment criteria. Your tutor checks for consistency, formatting, and remaining gaps before you submit — so you go in with full confidence.

Theory of Knowledge

Our specialist tutors combine their expertise in the Humanities to provide interdisciplinary and nuanced perspectives to the TOK Exhibition and Essay.

We seek to simplify foreign and complicated epistemological questions, providing clear-cut advice to tackle TOK.

Our TOK consultations are ad-hoc and 1-1: it’s according to your chosen topic, your schedule and your timelines.

Our Tutors

All our tutors are graduates of the IBDP, have attained exemplary grades (43 and above; A for the EE) and are undergraduates of top universities.

What this means for YOU: you’re taught by someone who’s cracked the code.

Our methodologies are tailored to scoring in the IB: rooted in the marking criteria, comprehensive notes for a one-stop solution, and curricula that follow each school’s timetable.
